Marika Eriksson is stepping in as Acting Director at Doc Lounge
Doc Lounge are happy to present our latest team member, Acting Director Marika Eriksson!
Most recently, Marika comes from the Swedish Red Cross Youth Association, where she acted as Secretary General for six years. Her background within citizen associations and involvement with NGO’s has taken her abroad repeatedly, to Russia, Syria and Afghanistan. But the film industry will be a new arena for her to conquer:
“I’ve long been a fan of Doc Lounge, and a recurring visitor for several years. The documentary film industry may be new to me, but I’m bringing a lot of experience with business development, project management and community engagement with me.
I’m not one to shy away from a challenge and I’m good at making a difference even where resources are limited. I’m certain these skills will prove useful at Doc Lounge.”
Marika will be stepping in for Maja Lindqvist who will go on maternity leave at the end of June. Financing, daily operations and business development are what can be found on her future schedule.
“We are so happy to have Marika on board to run and develop Doc Lounge, together with the rest of our brilliant team. From her experience with management and finance from Röda Korset, I’m really excited for the new perspectives she’ll bring into the organisation. I’m positive Doc Lounge will flourish, and look forward to see the organisation develop while I’m taking care of another baby.”
—Maja Lindqvist, Director.
Marika will start August 2 and is to stay on with Doc Lounge for at least nine months. Contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org
