DocSenior – Because you are never too old to Doc Lounge!

Good news – Allmänna Arvsfonden has granted funding for the two-year project DocSenior.

DocSenior creates new meeting places for people aged 65 and over, where documentary film, conversation and community are at the heart of the experience.

The aim is to reduce involuntary loneliness and create safe, accessible opportunities for older people to meet and share thoughts, memories and perspectives. Film clubs will be established in Malmö and, over time, in other municipalities throughout Skåne.

Together with housing companies, non-profit organisations and pensioners’ associations, DocSenior is developing a sustainable and replicable model for local documentary film clubs.
