About Doc Lounge Malmö

Doc Lounge is a non-profit organization that arranges events around premieres and previews of documentary films.

We host eight screenings per season, every other Monday at Moriska Paviljongen, where each event is a mix of film, live music, director Q&As, panel talks, and collaborations with local organizations. Our goal is to create meaningful encounters and reach new audiences by bringing documentaries to non-traditional venues.

As a volunteer, your main role is to help make the event nights happen – from setting up the space and preparing the venue, to welcoming guests and scanning tickets. We usually gather at 16:00, get things ready, share a fika, and after the screening, clean up together.

There are many other ways to contribute, depending on your interests – like planning, bookings, photography, communication and outreach.

Volunteering is flexible, social, and a great way to be part of Malmö’s cultural scene. No experience needed – just bring your good energy!
