Nordisk Panorama winner "Don Juan" at Doc Lounge
We are happy to let you know that our Official Selection-film Don Juan, by Jerzy Sladkowski, this week won the price Best Nordic Documentary at Nordisk Panorama festival! Big Congratulations to Jerzy Sladokowski and the team. The jury motivation was "For its dedication to pure cinema, for its honesty and visual beauty a unanimous jury give this award to Don Juan. This deeply moving love story was placed on our doorsteps with such a sensitive gaze and care with characters who were compelling and authentic although with rough edges. We all should hope to meet and/or have a Tania in our life. We loved it!"
And we of course agree and are happy to present this warm documentary about the autistic boy Oleg to you! Twenty-two-year-old Oleg doesn’t live up to his mother Marina’s idea of a real man. Marina wants him to improve his life and subjects him to a series of unconventional treatments. Strangely enough the camera seems to be welcome everywhere, and it closely follows these dramatic developments.
Don Juan had its Doc Lounge premiere in Aarhus September 9 and is screened around the Doc Lounge network during autumn:
The screenings will be accompanied by panel speeches, directors visits and as usual bubbly drinks and the best hangout.
Stay updated on our calender for all screenings around the network.
