Dolphin Man - Swedish premiere!
Discover the free diver who inspired the cult movie "Le Grand Bleu", listen to an underwater band, test your free-diving-skills, and talk to a world leading diving-scientist!
Dolphin Man draws us into the world of Jacques Mayol, capturing his compelling journey and immersing viewers into the sensory and transformative experience of free-diving. The film weaves together stunning contemporary underwater photography of the world’s leading free divers with intimate testimonies of Mayol’s closest friends and rare film archive from the 1950’s onwards, to discover how the "dolphin man" revolutionized free-diving and brought a new consciousness to our relationship to the sea and to inner-selves.
WE HAVE OURSELVES AN UNDER WATER BAND! Johan Lundberg and Ellen Pettersson forms the band SUBMERGE who will make their first performance ever tonight! They will use their instruments to do all they can to make you feel like you're below the surface.
TEST YOUR FREE DIVING SKILLS!
The Association Aqualund will be on spot, with oxymeters and bales of 10-degree water to help those who want to test their breathkeeping and diving reflex!
WORLD LEADING DIVING-SCIENTIST: Johan Andersson
In addition, we will be joined by Johan Andresson, one of the leading scientists in the world on diving reflexes. Representatives from Aqualund will also be there to answer all sorts of questions about free diving and how to practice it locally here in Lund.
